Correct me if I am wrong black shear, but is that a way of saying he is a semi wanker for having a nice bike?

The table demonstrates that most 600cc sports bikes will easily out accelerate all cages except for a handful of super cars. But we knew that

Funny you say that,on many real world roads/racetracks 600s ridden well will be faster than 1000s and certainly Busas.

    You shall be corrected.
He's an asshole, 'cause his bike is a LOT faster than mine.
And I don't have his bike.

But yeah ha ha, no matter how I worded that sentence, short of saying 'throttle control', SOMEONE was gonna pick up on it!

    I wanna faster biiike

Knock me down with a feather it says the Bandit can do sub 13 quarters.
    Doesn't feel that fast.

I think the real trick is the rider.

With me aboard I think you could add about 3 seconds to the time - till I got the hang of it at least.

Agreed - I am often past on the Rimutakas and other road race tracks, even 250s pass me - downhill. However, after a day in the saddle I can still walk.

Problem is quoting just the 400m times is not an accurate account of speed. Super cars stop on a dime and out corner bikes. They brake later and harder, pull higher G's and are on the power sooner. They also use aerodynamic trickery to push the car onto the road. I also think the trick is the rider or driver. It's the man not the machine.

Yeah our family had a bunch of the cars years ago. We used to pull all sorts of stunts in them. Our favorite was hitting traffic humps at about 50-60mph. You should see them hold on - but the car whipped over them like they weren't there.

Our other favorite was to barrel along at about 80mph and suddenly and brutally swerve off the tar seal and onto the gravel and the grass and sit there with one hand on the wheel and chat away with them like it was nothing. They were like HOLY SHIT MAAAAAAN FARKEN ARRRRRSE MAAAAAN!!!!

I was driving on a trip one day, and I was suuuure I could detect something funny with one tyre. "Nah its in my head" methinks and carries on.. (80mph highway driving with corners) and some minutes later.. nah something is amiss, one corner feels spongy when I waltz the steering - soft tyre I bet.. So I haul up, and have a look and the right hand front tyre is COMPLETELY FUCKED!!! WHA???

    Digressive suspension FTW!

Casually dragging the knee waiting to destroy the cage down the next straight and the rider would be happy.

I thought the speeds sounded too good to be true....

A quote from the Wikipedia entry on the Citreon 2V:

    Performance

When asked about the 2CVs performance and acceleration, many owners said it went "from 0-60 in one day". Others jokingly said they "had to make an appointment to merge onto an interstate highway system".
The original 1948 model that produced only 9 hp had a top speed of just 40 mph, far below speeds necessary for North American highways. The top speed would increase with engine size to 49 mph in 1955, 52 mph in 1962, 63 mph in 1970, but would not finally be capable of US freeway speeds of 71 mph until 1981. [3]
The last evolution of the 2CV engine was the Citroën Visa flat-2, a 652 cc featuring an electronic ignition. Citroën never sold this engine in the 2CV, however some enthusiasts have converted their 2CVs to 652 engines.

If you are going to bullshit, at least make it sound plausible.
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.
