Setting suspension clickers and oil ratios?

Can anyone give me a rough idea on where the suspension clickers should be set front and rear on my yz? 75kg rider. The guy i bought it off was quite small and just rode at woodhill, so he softened the front and rear as much as they can go. I will get them re-valved some stage soon, but for now stock suspension is going to have to do

Also, the guy had no idea what oil ratios he ran in it, as his brother did all the work and he just rode it... Ran 40:1, with 95 pump gas in it this weekend, seemed fine, but is that to lean, or too low quality gas (couldnt hear any detonation)

    Cheers

Id try to get the factory settings as a base piont maybe ring a dealer

And I'd say 40:1 with a good quality oil should be ok
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

The book might say 33:1 but we all generally run at 40:1. Just check your plug/jetting after a hot run shutdown! There has been a few good threads recently on jetting and how on here recently. actually I have some plug reading info Danger posted saved somewhere if you pm me your Email. Otherwise one particular thread goes into it quite a lot. Me, Danger and a few others had quite a discussion on different theories. Do a search you should find some good info.

cheers man ill pm you in a sec. its running a BR8EG which is a little weird as everyone seems to run an ES... might be due to the FMF SST and Powercore and aftermarket reeds or something?

my mates yammi runs a B7ES which is a realy hot plug. my ORANGE bike runs the same, but i think it needs a colder plug as it gets pretty hot, specialy in the sand.

Br8 is what my Cr250 ran. One of my Ktm 200's has a br8 The other a colder Br9 so your close. I'd go with the BR8 the Eg and Es refers to a resistor or non resistor plug I think give me a minute I'll see if I have the page where I read it. You should run the resistor one as you have an electronic ignition!

BR#ES is a $5 plug, a BR#EG is an old name for the iridium plug, now their called BR#EIX which is about $25, the iridium ones have a tapered tip, the ES ones have a flat tip. the itidium ones are easier to foul but work slightly better, so unless your jetting is spot on i wouldnt recommend the EIX
i run 9s and dont have many problems, JT borrowed one of my BR9ES' at the JR for his CR250 and as far as i know it was fine all day?
we may just go where no ones been

No harm I was wrong the R means its resistor so all good!! The EG is a Fine wire Nickel alloy center electrode and the ES is a standard center electode. One is less prone to fouling although I have run both with no problems. you can buy a $20-00 Iridium EIX which has the super flash electode in but that one is fine!

Have a look at the chart attached it tells the whole story!!
