Do we have the 5th (amendment) here yet?? If so, I'm taking it
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I have never been a pillion on a big bike before. Being curious and wanting to know what a 1000cc bike would be like, I asked a friend to take me on the back of his Honda CBR1000RR. That will be the very last time I ride pillion on a bike.

I clinged on for dear life when the bike roared to life, every corner that was taken I felt as if it was going to slide, I have never been so scared...... Those bikes don't have much of a pillion seat and you sit rather high. The torque is rather is large and on every acceleration i would almost fall off the back of the bike and on braking i would hit my head against the drivers head...

An experience it was, but never again as a pillion.

I can relate to this. It pointed out how little I trust other. Surprising really because the person in question is a very good rider. We went to pick up a bike my mate had purchased. We went on my Gixxer and half way we pulled over for fuel. I jumped on the back seat and off we went. I knew the road well and it was raining cats and dogs. We were heading along a straight road but at the end it has a sharp left followed by an even sharper right that heads down a hill. So I am sitting on the back thinking it would be nice if you slowed down Kev. But no he was just going along fine. We went in to the left and then the right way to fast for me. I felt the desire to take over the lean but resisted it like crazy. We made it with no problem . I made a comment when we got to the end of the ride and his answer was " yea sorry I was thinking about the new bike and then it was to late but it all worked out ok".
I seldom get on the back and after that I realised it is not funny when you are the one shitting yourself so I don't do it to others. But my comment still stands. Stop and ask and you never know you to might get the "faster and more corners please"

I can relate to all of this, pillioning is for people who have no understanding of mortality. I can remember being on the back of the kwacka-kids dads bike, (1973 kwaka 900), with a crate of piss, (thats 1 dozen 750ml bottles for young people) & the bastard went over the railway crossing in Portage Rd, New Lyn at like around 80 - 100kph. Not a good feeling, took ages to get the stains out
It is better to have ridden & crashed than never to have ridden at all

hahahaha sorry but I can relate to that. The crate hitting the legs would be as bad as the piss getting out of the bottles. I note you have 7 messages posted so welcome to the mad house and hope to see you on the road sometime.
