    Are motorcycles really that fast?

Here is a useful link to show disbelievers. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/downl...ncecharts1.htm

The tables could do with an update but are still relevant.
    Here for the ride.

    Ha ha.
Poor cars, totally washed out, innem?

Not bad on the McLarens half, though. 1994 and all.

    BUT!
    Where's the Ultima?

Looks like the ZX-14 is the cheapest way to go really really fast. It's a bargain!
They should have a new brand slogan, "Make yourself a Guiness World Record"

I like cars but.... yea, bike's are far cheaper to go faster.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

The table is out of date - GenII Hayabusa is up there with the ZX14 and is well priced at $20k. Purely academic as I can't go that fast.

Ah, but did you know the 2CV has digressive shim-stack suspension, ALA Ohlins? I shit you not.

    Spot the Busa owner
How comfortable is it on longer rides? Just randomly.

Strap the damn bikes down and go set some mighty times. It's sad how people think all quarters are real for their vehicle, they change at every track. We can't get the rail to run faster than 7.20 at mere mere [spelling?] too bumpy. And my bike may give the 2cv a good run for its money with my great riding

Straight roads no matter how fast there ridden or how short they are are surely?Apart from that they take any measure of ability out of the equationEach to there own i guess but seems to be the opposite to everything i enjoy about motorcycles. If bikes and cars are to be compared then a F1 car leaves most for dead once it gets traction.Remember following a Busa over the staircase on the coast, was amusing for awhile.

Would be interesting to see figures for dragsters and drag-bikes.

I'd say nothing can beat a 4x4 with enough ponys for a standing start.

All I know is that it is a classic... and that Citroen put out a guarantee that they would refund anyone who could manage to flip the car on a flat asphalt surface - they extended the guarantee in response to the unfounded rumour that the 2CV was prone to tipping over.

    Oh, right right.
Must been gutted when you found out they were the fastest things on two wheels once you'd bought it

God speed to you and your obviously well-disciplined wrist!
