It's utterly disgusting that they haven't made the attempt given the resources and the "great minds" that they have at their disposal. If it all goes to shit, it's a tank, blow the fuck out of that part of the house...

Like someone said earlier, noone wants to take responsibility for the decision. Fly me up there, give me an unloaded tank and i'll do it myself, i'll take the risk to retrieve those that have been mercilessly slain over a bit of dope...

Seriously fuckin disgusted with the lack of resolution after this amount of time given the resources available...

I'd like to agree with you there, but i can't. As much as this won't be greeted well, i still think the longer this goes on, the more it becomes a political/propoganda exercise. They should have and could have removed the dead officer earlier... but for some reason didn't... why is my question?

I may not have been trained, but I have been privvy to meetings at UN level (in their shoes if you like) and listened as the powers that be discuss conflict issues. Let's just say the humanitarian issue isn't top of the agenda... it's pretty disheartening to see and i fear this is what's happening here.

Looks a little bit like they are using him to practice on, if the team can talk him out alive gives them a better shot of doing it for the next guy who has a hostage...
