Got this from Paula today.....

2009 SCHOOLS MX CHAMPIONSHIP POSTPONED TO SUNDAY MAY 17TH

Thanks to everyone who entered the 2009 Schools Motocross Championship.

The weather forecast for this weekend is looking pretty bad. We have been
looking at the long range metservice and metvuw forecasts as well as the
marine forecasts for the last week which are showing a big patch of stormy
weather coming through this weekend which won't clear away until about
Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Due to the large number of entries, especially in the Novice classes, we
have decided to postpone the Schools MX Champs until the following weekend
and will run the event on Sunday May 17th.

We have already prepped the track for rain so we don't have any problems
with running racing on the circuit after its been raining during the week.
We had heavy rain on Friday night last week which continued through into
Saturday afternoon but the track was still perfect for Round 2 of the
Wildman the next morning because we have tapered all the straights and
corners. The water drains off and the track dries out quickly as long as it
doesn't rain all day while the event is being run. Our main concern is to
get a reasonable day so everyone can get the most out of the racing.

We are emailing everyone who gave us an email address but I know a few will
bounce back and there are some who won't check their hotmail accounts so
spread the word to anyone else you know who is entered. We are also ringing
those without email addresses but a few didn't supply an email or phone
contact so if you know anyone in your school who is also riding could you
please let them know we have changed the date.

Thanks

Paula
