I'd like to get my head around this "static sag/race sag suspension setup deal nordie and werewolf have been discussing in nordies other thread.

Easyier to grasp when it's explained with a real bike to fiddle with I think
happy to volunteer my shed as it needs a good tidy up and i am sure that would be a fun thing for us to do

seriously my shed is available and the sag thing needs explaining to me too in simple terms.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Stand on tippy toes and have someone measure from the ground to your... navel - base measurement.
Stand flat footed and re-measure - diff is static (no load) sag.
Put the DR on your shoulders and re-measure - diff from unloaded = race sag.

    Simple.

How does knowing how far my belly button is to the ground help the klr handle better??

The closer it is to the ground the closer you are to falling off.

Sounds like a plan; can we discuss in the Shed thread, please?
    Cheers,

Bugger! Small fuel spill is normal, usually comes out a carb float bowl overflow. Nothing to worry about, but if you have a vacuum fuel tap it may pay to put it to prime before trying to start the bike.

Personally I don't like spinning bikes on the sidestand, sitting on bikes on the sidestand etc as most bikes I've had, have had fragile sidestands that wouldn't put up with that kind of abuse. YMMV. I've always turned my bikes outside the confined space.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Oh FFS I knew I should've turned around and followed you when I went past, going the other way, on top of the hill in Annesbrook.
You wouldn't have recognized me, I had my tinted visor on
    but I did nod

Hrm sounds like I'll have to watch out for the sneaky "follow the tagger to the new tag location" technique in the future.

    So do I.
Funny this is, I was just discussing with Ben today about a ride across the creek and beyond the bridge.
Who's gonna make it there first I wonder?

You fellas make it too easy for me. Sometimes I just love shiftwork, I can go riding first thing Monday mornings.

Location: Aniseed Valley, Hackett picnic area, start for the popular MTB trail, or tramping route up to Mt Starveall.
Lovely valley when it's not frosty, good waterholes in summer.
