Same size forks as the standard DR?
Good stuff Underground. After Fing round with mine so much I 'm glad I did -they're pretty good.
The one thing I found that I wasnt expecting is that I have a gate on a hill and comming downhill I would kill it in gear ,put the sidestand down and do the gate ,well it used to lurch up and down on and off the front brake and be kind of hard to manage , but now it just sits there nice and steady like this staunch thing ready to leap back into action...if you have to get on and off a big bike on a downhill you will know what I mean. how do you get smilies on this new KB thing ??
KLR intimernintorors may fit. Just have to check inside dia. If you paid me enough you could try mine for size.
yay found my smilies (didn't know you were a comp geek as well)
Hey mr geek how do I get back to the main adv forum without going back to the top & going thru all the bs
I havn't met any terrain the Big can't handle YET, it's mostly operator error when things go pear shaped, so I won't bother with intermunternatorerthingamywhatsitshoodackeys at this stage

Nothing special, just the usual Molesworth / Rainbow loop this morning with Jeff and Kyle. Bloody good thing Jeff came along otherwise it mightn't have been such a rosy end to the ride...rear wheel felt a bit looser than normal...then a bit noisier, then it kinda went crunch crunch for a bit then started squealing...
Long story short, there is an RD04 sitting about 20km north of Hanmer springs on the Rainbow side. Cheers to Zerax for bringing the wheel out and mega thanks to Underground for the stylish 2 Up tour of the Rainbow.
Back down tomorrow from Blenheim to fit the rebuilt rear wheel and ride her out (with the kids taking turns). sigh.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
It's an adventure all right![]()
That was a nice little outing (for some of us)
I left home (French Pass) at 6am and got back at 7.15pm clocking 670km , It makes a good round trip from here with lots of gravel roads .
I almost felt sorry for my @ with you on the back Buggs , you are a lot heavier than my usual pillion.
Got some pics on the camera , I'll try and post them tomorrow
Thanks for posting a photo of me looking gay and dropping my tools like a muppet...
