    Piece of cake.
I'll leave it for someone else. There may someone else who want to go for this other than the four horse race we have got going on at the moment.

how did you find it?...I knew it was on or close to the inlet cos of the clue.Google GOPI and Guardians of Pauahatanui Inlet pops up.I wasnt sure where it was ,i thought it may have been over on Grays Road.I even did a street view search of google maps a bit further down Paremata Road....just thinking if we give a few hints out there we might get a few more people in the game.Of course if you ride past this tree every day you would recognise it!

As soon as I googled GOPI it came up with the result that you got. I then went to google maps in satelite view and looked for a turn off similar to the one in the picture. Also the area was flat beside the trees, alot of paramata road has banks on that side so made the search a little bit more defined. Also once I determined the possible intersections, pulled up street view and found the trees, and could zoom in on the carvings.
Im not really to observant when it comes to noticing things like that while im riding/driving, so im more relying on research.

That is very clean and analytical approach.
Didn't expect someone to solve it that way.

    horokiwi 001

as Cloggy said, there is only one place that you can look down on Korokoro and Maungaraki, with Petone/Seaview in the back ground.HOROKIWI!
The WIND was strong up there today!
Right at the end of the road, well there was a gravel road going a bit further

Good job on horokiwi. Great little road for a bit of a detour after work (if you're headed that way. Nice and twisty. Im pretty sure I know where the next one is, but I guess I better give it a rest for a bit, before I become way to competitive.
