THe LC (4L0 model - 1980 - 82) was different for the RZ - RZ came after with the YPVS(1983-88).
I reckon you should get a RG250 frame and make a Yamagamma. They normally have LC/YPVS motors, but an air cooled should fit. The YPVS is a really easy fit and instructions are on teh web. I expect the air cooled to be easy as well.

I'm busy fitting an RD400 into a ZXR250A. Fits well.
You could do similar. I think the 350 is the better motor isn't it?
I have a shed full of RD400 parts - nothing great but if anyone wants it (No, not the shed!)... It's basically one old bike stripped down to the smallest part and put in boxes. Wasn't me.
Find a good registerable dirt bike frame and make yourself the ultimate adventure bike.
