Several insurance companies do offer cover for track days. I think Protecta does the most advertising, and their policy does.

You can't ride it on the road ... but that doesn't mean you can't ride it. Find somewhere off road.

Mean bike mate, spot on the colour choice too. My advice is ride it. You should'nt crash but if you do, store it in your garage till you get your lisence and then a month later claim on it. Hard case but yea.

Hard case if he ends up in hospital and the coppers got involved...wait out the 7 weeks mate,it will be better than riding round checking for in ya mirrors every 3 seconds.

Who's that tool you let sit on it?!? I hope he didn't scratch the paint while you were taking the photo, or worse still, highside it onto the coffee table while trying to get a knee down.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

You should have done a deal with the shop when you bought the bike that you got a 250 loaner.

If you wait 50 days just think how much more you'll enjoy that first ride. Now hope for sunny fine weather.

It'd be a bummer to wake up on day 50 to a winter storm.

Does the bike stay in the lounge or does it...

move to the bedroom at night.

50 days of riding a new bike , probabaly would`nt clock up more than 2kms a day.
Jtzzr has a fine point, if not a bit selfish. I wish to offer a similar service except have you as pillion.

And if we trash, the way I ride, then you won't be any position to worry about insurance, unless you have a cell-phone which connects heaven/hell, with your insurance company.

The great thing about this requires a small reference back to Kieth Codes, Twist Of The Wrist and spending your ten bucks.

While you're riding a lot of your bucks go on concentrating on the riding bit. But when you're a pillion most of your bucks go on looking at what's coming. Thus you get to see the end of your time well before the rider (me) and thus get to enjoy the sequential transition between life and somewhere else. Whereas, the rider just gets a big shock for a few micro-seconds.
    Only 'Now' exists in reality.

If you can afford to replace the bike in cash - ride it. If like most people you can't - don't until you are fully insured.

Spend the time to plan upgrades, mods and research how to get the most out of it. Will make the time fly quicker.
You didn't have to worry about your Life & Disability Insurance.
