As for the rest. Nothing wrong with jumping on a 600 or 750. Ride it like you want to keep riding it and all will be fine. Young guy down here brought a K8 600 and he spent a while working out how to ride it and now is going real good on it and it is still in top nick.

I'd also agree with getting a higher powered sports bike. Why waste your time with the lower powered non-faired examples? A litre bike, at the very minimum.

Seriously though, I'd take them all out for a ride and see which you like best. I sometimes wish I had purchased something a little less sports orientated when I'm commuting for my first 'big' bike, but I get over that pretty quickly. I definitely wished I'd taken more out while I was looking, however.
