Some of you might know Glen Magson, some of you don't.
Glen is a Motorcyclists Motorcyclist & all round nice guy.
He is also fighting a huge battle with cancer.
If you know the reality of this, I don't have to explain.
If not, then imagine being really really sick for an awfully long time and
then double it.
Glen has friends to support him & he has money, what he needs is blood --- lots of it.
If you are able to donate blood (preferably yours) please contact Lynnda Barry lynnda.barry@southerncross.co.nz
We are planning to try and make a mass donation on Monday 15th June. Lynnda has written the words below which explain more about time, place & eligibility.
As we've been told that his next round of Chemo: his last we hope: is going to be pretty nasty: we found a specialist that was willing to tell us what to expect, so that we can be prepared.
Glen is going to need a lot of blood : and as Wellington's stocks are pretty low already we want to make sure there is enough there or when he needs it as he'll be requiring blood transfusions from the 15th onwards, so our timing should be prefect.
The next blood run for Glen will take place on the 8th of June, this is pretty close to world blood donor day, so I hope this date will bring a few more of you out of the woods: those of you who can donate blood on this Monday Afternoon - or evening, please contact me & I will reserve you a space.
Help me out by telling me:
