I find the constantly changing image distracting and the heading bar too insignificant. I think it looks like a biker group ride site.

Yeah, me too. Put me down as another old fart who resists attempts to gain his attention.

I would treat it as I do all the animated avatars on KB--ie. Adblock it--but unfortunately it's done in Flash.

That's another reason not to use Flash on Web sites. Not everyone has it. Of those who do, some have disabled it. It just provides an opportunity for Web designers to wank. No offense John.

Flash applications are becoming increasingly common and prejudices that usability analysts have had in the past are diminishing -- particularly if Flash is being used to power some useful application that enhances a site's usefulness.

I do when I feel the need, Personally I quite like your flash component, but after seeing it the one time I won't enable flash again on that site.

Thats not a criticism, That's just how I roll......
