A few mates of mine have bought Cycleworks exhaust for their bikes, 250cc and biker and I really like the sound of them and they look great too and they can make them to suit the sound and look you're after.

Believe me, it won't be as sweet as the Fuel Exhausts deal.

Do you have an interest in Fuel Exhausts Jim2? You're verging on fanatical.

What are prices like for Cycleworks exhausts?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

To be honest with ya....get a Neptune!
They are in Lyall Bay...I had one on my Triumph, they make the triple sound soooooooo sweet. I now have one on my CB. The price is way better than most other cans. I had my can off, sent down and the new one back and on the bike inside a week, Mark is the man when it comes to cans!! (hey I kinda like that ) his service is great.

I've only ever heard good things about Cycleworks, the fact they have been in business so long says something in itself, But like my mum says it pays to shop around.

I've not had such good service from any aspect of the motorcycling world ever. That's "ever".

That's worth something in my book, plus it was 50% cheaper than any quote I got locally. To give Damon his due, his response was significantly more literate than any of the other people who responded to emails and phone calls, most of whom seemed intent on me presenting my bike to them to complete the job, despite repeatedly pointing out I was in Wellington. JAFAs can be really thick sometimes. Wellington isn't the flat bit next to what's left of Mt Wellington, mmmkay?

Good luck getting in touch with Neptune.

    Pipes

Get a Yoshi from the states. Way cheaper than any bike shop here. I got a carbon fibre one here in 6 days, $820 NZ (Inc $70US in freight).
Same exhaust here is $1300. No question.

I have had 2 cycleworks exhausts which were great and they have helped with repairing my 2brothers and yoshi mufflers when 2brothers and yoshi didnt said "oh we dont sell just parts, you will have to get a new exhaust." In one case cycleworks had to cut my pipe and remake the end cap of it. They did it pretty quick, to a high spec and to a very reasonable price. Again the overseas guys who made the pipe and charged a significant amount for it only a couple years before had amnesia when it came to product back up.

    Neptune make great pipes to.

Even if the local guys are a bit more expensive, at least they can back there product up and it wont cost you over $300 in postage if theres a fault or accident and it needs fixing.

I have had a few bikes with

cycleworks exhausts, on my cbx I called in when in town to ask about a new baffle, he made a new one on the spot $60, nice. he accidentally charged 560 to my cc, picked it up and called to say he'd fixed it, before I had even noticed the bill myself, nice +1 to them

I'm pretty sure Neptune either aren't in business or aren't selling to the local market. There's no one at the premises listed and the phone numbers don't get answered. The web page has gone and the email address I have bounces.

For the smallest price quoted locally I could have bought 2 Fuel end cans and link pipes. The insurance quote to reskin my OEM muffler was the same as the price of the Fuel muffler exc freight. I'll buy local, but not when they take the piss. 4 days if I need another isn't that big of a deal.

Mark at Neptune is still operating, but an Oz firm are now manufacturing his zorsts.

I have his cell phone number as he can still supply a zorst locally, but he is travelling a lot and may not be able to deliver quickly.

    Boo.

Fuel Exhausts don't do the Street Triple. Pity, nice looking work too.

My impression of cycleworks is "how the fuck do they make any money?".

They seem to charge far to little for the amount of work they put into stuff.
