Doh That's some bad luck. If he doesn't have it fixed yet then I know the brake levers are pretty cheap...
We are meant to be hitting up some wreckers tomorrow if I can find a car. I think only footpegs left to go at this point.

He better buy a new back tyre too or i'm not going to be as sympathetic the next (3rd) time

Eek It looked like that thing had been through the wars when I first saw it (much the same as mine!) so I'm glad to see nothing has changed for it

So, I had a ride on my RVF400 yesterday - holy shit that thing is an absolute rocket!

plus the gearbox is all backwards

took Brown Fury to the shops today - awesome runabout that might be staying in the family as the "spare" bike

compared to Brown Fury, snails stampeading thru peanutbutter would seem fast ;-)

I agree thou, RVF400's rule! best 400 ever, no contest. Don't think I could bear parting with mine. Might even have to splash out on bits to make it look purdee. TYGA, TYGA, TYGA.

is there really anything that can be done to make the rvf any better looking? All i've managed to do is kit it out with some angry eyebrows and that's about it!

a pipe is an option, but would require endless tuning to get it right... maybe after the FI conversion.....

yep - it would appear i've blown a hole clean through the piston while riding into uni this fine sunny morning

and to think my parents were talking of buying it as a spare bike just last night too! it would've let me buy the green honda 50 for the rescue mission!

anyone know where i might find a new piston? cheap place for a rebore?

Brown Fury doesn't like the motorway. It prefers the raw excitement and unpredictability of back roads out in the country
