Yep, the oil change & valve check might be a little fiddly, but that is more than made up for by the rest of the bike being so nicely designed & built, she really is a joy to work on.
Yep just a small job... I thought everybody did a frame up rebuild before every big ride? Anything less is mechanical negligence I reckon
Clint
Of course, just finished mine. Tank on, engine started and find out that there is too much vibration on my GPS unit, it scratches the shit outta it on the bumpy rides which of course is all of the time.
I have put some filler inside, duct tape and now is sweet....tight as a Mallards rear end!
Might look at the re-build this afternoon but wait....Dang, I gotta wash my hair...
Oh well, I will have to rely on the Mattighofen reliability....![]()
oh very droll (to quote Woodman)
You guys all have a good safe (and hopefully dry) ride.
Look forward to reading the ride reports when I come back from holiday.
Mike
it would be a bit difficult rideing with a bone all day long....and dribbleing in my hat too......![]()
I FEEL THE NEED, THE NEED FOR SPEED

Fine weather? What the hell is with that? I said 100% chance of rain dammit!
All the bloody riff raff will actually turn up now...
Talked to our Saturday hosts last night, despite my suggestion to not go to any trouble & just get Tui, a mixed truckload of beer has already been deposited in the chiller for us including Tui, Monteiths & Steinlager.
Also talked to Marion at the Pub. They'll have a roast dinner on offer Fri night to feed the masses & they are happy to get up early to do breakfast for us, continental or full cooked job. Let them know at the bar Fri night if you want brekky.
Cheers
Clint
What weather forecasting site do you use Clint?
Thanks..
We can't have dry weather surely not? The whole point of this is to get wet, muddy, cold and warm up in the evening, right?
Oh well, that does mean of course given that there is a truckload of the amber liquid we might have tooutside and look at the stars overhead...
Be romantic like....discussing bikes and adventuring...![]()
Everyone going on this ride are bast**ds and I hate you all.
Hope you have fun without me dammit.

I thought you were coming mate...Oh, I guess we have to find a Photographer, Video editor and the right place at the right time person...
I will be taking loads of shots, so hopefully I might get some good action ones. I plan on keeping upright this weekend as I have had the tank painted and the bike is looking mint! (Famous last words...)
Be thinking of ya Eddie!![]()

It's good for long range stuff. Metservice often has the edge for today & tomorrow but Metvuw seems better further out.
Cheers
Clint
It looks clear as for the weekend, but turning a bit nasty from the NE Mon-Tues...
This is a good weather site for as you say the long range stuff...
Clint, do you have the conventional speedo on your 640, the smaller rugby ball one? Or the Large 950 type speedo?
