2. Clint contemplating riding the big pig, Te Urewera;

4. Top of Lake Wakaremoana;
5. EddieB on the Motu, closely followed by;
6. JunkManJoe on the Motu;
& a couple more from the trip after we split from the pack at Opotiki.
7. Waihau Bay - Top of the East Cape - MarkS & I peeled off from the Main group at Opotiki;
8. Winter colours at Kawahatau (nr Mangaweka).
Had a ball. Thanks for organising this Clint & Rosie.

Neat pics guys! I just put up day 2 of my report over on advrider.
Cheers
Clint
That just about answers most of my questions, having read the posts and seen the piccys. I spent my weekend wondering whether you lot had passed Go and how you were getting on in the frost and snow. It seems getting there was just about the hardest part, as indicated by the widespread mayhem arround Wellytoun Thursday night and unpromising forecast for Friday.
Clearly a very successful event Clint, congratulations from a fireside watcher. I hope to do better next time. An epic effort by Eddie, roaring off in the early hours of Saturday so as not to miss the fun, great stuff young fella ! And a sensible choice of horse by you Aslan, not your original pick as I recall. Sorry to read you were laid up Oscar, musta been a bad scene for a coupla days there.
Cheers to all involved.
Great weekend Clint, cheers.
Felt sorry for Rob getting stuck on the Motu until late Sunday evening waiting for a tow truck. All the signs pointed to a failure of the BSK unit on his GS, not common at all. This may well have had something to do with it.
Believe it or not there’s a 1200GS in here, still upright I might add. Totally impressed he actually managed to hang on to it.
All the best, be back next year![]()
There is NO WAY.....That ford couldn't bury a 1200GS?
He must have hit that hole to the right of the track and just ploughed straight in...Nice shot, good definition of the bike and I can see the rider nice and clearly too.....
I must have missed that splash shot, and I thought the 990E was a good one, geez this takes the cake...![]()
is the chap ok who hit the car on the friday..
