    I got a new beast!!!!!!

bow in it's glory! Wow in it's power! BEHOLD!!!!!!!!! THEEE *que deep voice bloke*

    LOANER.......

the whole thing is just so funny, that I had to post it.. Took the 636 in to get the can bracket fixed, and according to Mike, I was sure to be ridin home - they'd fix it while I wait.. Talk to the boys downstairs, 'oh mate, need it for a while, few hours.. Come back tomorrow, leave it here...'
errrrr no way to get home...

Go up and tell mike, he looks around, views a few bikes thru the shop, eyes up his '05 636, looks around the shop again, back to his 636 (me thinking 636 636 636, already riden it), then he looks to one of the boys, and says.. 'GSX..'
Sweeeeeet GSXR600...... then what put-puts up? the looooooanaaaaa.. great.

I kinda feel sorry for anyone who's got one, but unless you know anything else, then I'm sure you'll be fine, but for me, it was going from a Porsche to a '70s mini.. just bizarre.. Can throttle it in every gear, really pushing, and you get to 80 odd, at a good push, 110!! Bit harder to get your knee down with this tho. No good at stoppies, the front just plain locks up, and the wheelies this thing can do!! Absolutly none..

While waiting to build up speed, a song popped into my head (Riding along in my automobile..), I came up with about 4 verses, but I'll give you one, and see who can come up with more..

Ridin along on ma motercykil... der der der der der daa
tryin not to become road kill... der der der der der daa
Got the throttle full wiv no slack... der der der der der daa
might see 130 with the wind at ma back... der der der der der daa

Wow - that bike is mint compared to the wrecks I've be given in the past. The piles of junk I've been loaned from several Northshore bike shops have barely been warrantable and had about as much horsepower as a nifty...but hey, it's better than relying on someone else to transport you around!

So the GSX250 is a gutless wonder huh.

    Tis true, they suck

Your right about the stoppies, I'm yet to get the back wheel more than an inch or two off the ground. As for wheelies it will come up just need to use a whole lotta clutch. Infact yesterday was the first time I ran out nuts doing a wheelstand before i ran outa revs, gave me quite a fright how quick it'll get up there once you get the whale started.

170?! That must have been screamin.. I got it at 120 at 9,000rpm, so I didn't think it would have a heap more left! It's a good practice/learners bike, for sure.. just not quite me.. I used to think I couldn't love my bike any more.. And now I have to spend a night without it!!!

I can imagine that this is a touch rare, for a shop to give out a 'nice' bike for a change.. Was nearly an '05 636, but nope.. It's gutless compared to my bike.. might not be so gutless next to.... a ride-on lawnmower..?? dunno...

Might shop around next time - "Mate, what loaners do you hand out..??" Sure that'll go down well!

Didnt' mean to bag the bike mate! Tis a good little runner, just a big leap backwards for Bug-kind.. Nice bike, just not used to it. Good on ya for the wheelies tho! I was almost hanging off the back end, in 1st, revs right up and dumped the clutch. It jolted forward and the front came up about 2 inches at best. Then for stoppies, still nothing. I sat on the tank, and the front still locked up!

Well going from such a nice bike to this, was hard on the pocket, but I think I got a good deal. I traded mine in, plus another 5k cash, and the beaute was mine.. I'm gonna ride to Welly and back.. well, may be Mt Welly and back for now.. it's getting late..
