    There's the KB way e.g.

Ride it, crash it, then come back and whinge about how you binned it.

Or you could just HTFU and wait.

Trailer it to a track day.

Nice bike man, put up some photos. I was thinking about getting one once I get my full, but theres too many good sports bikes I could buy instead for less money.

Yep, wot he said. Be patient grasshopper. And it's not just the shiny 09 R6 that's not insured when you bin it, it's the $100K Mercedes that you hit

You could make friends with an anesthetist and get them to put you in a medically induced coma for a week at a time. Best to have a week awake in between so you don't atrophy your muscles.

I rode my 2nd hand SV for about 2 months before I got my full. I was more worried about not being covered by my life and disability insurance. Less concerned about a $7,000 bike which has a $1,000 excess anyway on the policy - so only $6,000 out of pocket if I wrote it off. More likely I'd write myself off in the process.

If you can afford to replace the bike in cash - ride it. If like most people you can't - don't until you are fully insured.

Spend the time to plan upgrades, mods and research how to get the most out of it. Will make the time fly quicker.

But but but that would make a mockery of the joke...
Why did the biker run over the woman?

Your`e new here and I don`t do this for everyone , but out of the kindness of my heart, I will go out of my way , and ride your bike for you, I know what you`re thinking, There`s no need for THANKS , let me know your address.

50 days of riding a new bike , probabaly would`nt clock up more than 2kms a day.
