Why did it catch fire? Was it a backfire setting light to fuel or was it a wire that overheated and burst into flames?

And it has blackened the wires it would also mean that they are perished... and could be arcing to ground somewhere causing a host of problems...

Kinda reminds me of the 750 I had where the instruments would go dead and it would run funny everytime I turned left..... ended up being a tiny crack in the wiring arcing on the fork when I turned left blowing a main fuse.... good times finding it though hahahaha

This is what I love about our Rat Bike it just loves the attention - here Lula and geestring take it for a drive around the block to give it some encouragement to run. Trailers just seem too easy!

I've just been busy knitting a seat cover for the beast (and a pair of fingerless gloves for myself and geestring to wear at the Cold Kiwi).

Never seen the point of fingerless gloves. Knit some fingers for them also, they work better that way
