    Ride sunday

So it looks like everyone's to busy to ride this weekend???

and the weather forecast has turned to crap

    Tomorrow
Saturday 16 Long fine spells but becoming cloudy at night. Westerlies turning northerly after dark.
Sunday 17 Rain developing during the morning and northerlies strengthening.

If theres no interest and the weather IS crap I may just head up to Hampton Downs for a lookie and wait for warmer weather. Its just around the corner, some of you may want to start dusting your bikes off!.

In Case anyone is thinking of doing the coro loop this weekend

I was thinking of heading along for a putt-putt but noticed the weather is planning on going belly-up. If the weather looks doable I'll more than likely pop down. Maybe even bring the rest of the family.

    Sunday ride

Pretty much due to the crap weather forecast

Sunday 17 Rain developing from late morning and northerlies strengthening. A change at night to northwesterlies and showers, some heavy

and lack of response of anyone wishing to ride tomorrow (17th October) I have decided to abandon my plans to ride and will probably go to the bike swapmeet at claudelands

    http://www.claudelands.co.nz/events/...Club_Swap_Meet

and may head up to Hampton Downs in the arvo

If anyone wants to ride pop by the Hotel at 10.30, there may be others there looking for a pootle??

Since I knew it was gunna rain, I went out at 7.00am this morning for a wee pootle...Collins Rd, Tuhikaramea Rd, Kakaramea Rd to Whatawhata, norf to Ngaruawahia, to Huntly then to Taupiri and back to The Tron via Gordonton.

No traffic. Dry roads. Forgot to take me pills before leaving...very enjoyable...

It's my only day off and then only the morning - I gotta get in as much fun as possible before midday...

It is a good time to ride though - no other traffic...

If the weather is good then there is a good chance of me being there.

Ah bugger. I'm surprised it was that cheap too. I got stung $400 in 2002, no demerits though. Best of luck for the restricted. I'm sure it'll be a doddle. Just remember those exaggerated head movements.

If you're interested, this is the restricted route I was taken on. Only problem I had was with clarity of the headset, but that was no biggie.

My test was the same except i went around the roundabout at the end of Ruakura road instead of turning right into Nottingham.

If i do a defense driving thingy ma bob i can get my full licence in 5 weeks time. Don't know if i wanna spend $200 on it though!

Yeah, I decided to save myself the money and not do the defensive driving course. I already know the contents of it anyway, and can't afford a bigger bike anytime soon so there wasn't any hurry, besides which I need that $200 for my rego (grrr, mumble, whinge).

Has anyone done a Full test in Hamilton recently? (Dazz?) Wondering how they get you to point out the potential dangers - do they have a 2-way mic system or use the old 'point them out' routine? Anything tricky I need to be aware of?
