Just a question re body position for sandy hill climbs (I guess following on from the cornering in sand thread yesterday), I notice in one of the pics Humps is sitting down when he is heading up that steep hill climb, is that how it should be done? Excuse my ignorance (!) but what is the logic behind that?
Where as I also climbed it first go but I hit it standing up (with a quick duck for the branch)....
Alot like the cornering in sand I'd say it's down to the rider and the hill, I generally try and stand when climbing to get a good view, make sure the front doesn't loop on me and just coz it feels right.... for me!
Come up for a play on Sunday and after a bunch of climbs you'll get to see what feels right in what situation
righto the whole lot is up on my Web album now humps and rittr so have a rook. The vids are there too at around image number 170. All in super low res but ya get the idea.
Also the Kuratau pics are on there too so if ya know anyone who got snapped by me direct them to here.

If you got momentum, you can do anything how you like. But as I was taught. for a hill climb, stand up with weight forward but try to keep some weight to the rear for traction.
As always with dirtbikes, its all a fine balance in riding on the edge of the bikes limits and falling off. I like to think thats why I fall off so much anyway.... Yeah right!!
Righto no pics from this weekend yet as my illegal copy of photoshop has turned to shit and i can't figure out how to resize my pics to my liking with any other program. But heres a couple of vids of Dave and Secondfield trying a tricky little sandy hillclimb with 2 un avoidable roots a bike length apart to get over. Tangimoana.
Notice my missus' little suzuki jeep in the background. Twas good fun getting that sukker through the dunes and into the forrest... what a laugh, better get all the sand out before she gets home lol
