Ah glasshopper, you have powervalves you see.

Infront of your piston is exhaust valve, when engine slow slow it cwose to give more backpwessure and torque. When engine many rev, it open to give power like a million nakasakis. When it break off and end up in gearbox and barrel, you vely solly indeed.

The powerband is hidden under the seat (next to the shock absorber). If you give it a few good turns you should be able to wheelie into 3rd. These models were actually assembled in Malaysia & the slight people assembling the bikes can’t really turn them up hard enough.

On another note it is a good idea to get the powervalves stripped, cleaned & inspected for wear at least once a year. If they get loose they will drop into the barrel.

If you need a new powerband I have a spare off one of my rgv250's thats half worn so will be fantastic on the rg125. I have it in the hotwater cupboard to it doesnt loose its torque parameters.
