Try getting some bullshit email from them, basically saying I couldn't sell my bike anywhere else (ie, here) etc etc, and then... worst of all... not being able to send a shitty email back!!

And I felt so good as I hit send...

Pardon? What happened? Since you advertised on trademe you were not allowed to advertise anywhere else?

They're begging for the monopoly. Thought they already had it

This was what they sent me... from support@trademe.co.nz

    - no mention of KB was made
    - I did say in auction: I reserve the right to withdraw, as it is advertised elsewhere...

When you list an item for sale on Trade Me, you should do so with the intention of selling this item through the site, and you should not advertise your item through another forum.

The listing withdrawal feature is only to be used in extreme circumstances. If you withdraw too many listings your membership privileges will be reviewed.

In future please make sure that when you list an auction you are committed to selling the item through Trade Me. If you have any questions about this please don't hesitate to ask us.

What really hacked me off, was that you can't email them back. I had felt soooo good writing something back.... and it bounced.

Well I've been searching for ages for information about the company that produces these kits...they are apparantly made by a company M-Tech however actual company info is hard to get.

Did find a review from another forum though from someone who bought one for a CBR954:

the plastic is very very brittle, if you try to drill holes in it . make sure you go up in small increments cuase there is not much meat around the holes and you will tear off the plastic . the paint is ok .. but has lots of clear coat dripps on the edges.
also the molds they use or did use or whatever . all the parts are about 1/8th to a 1/4th to small so you gotta stretch everthing out and hope nothing cracks ( well trying to put on the rear section we had to stretch it out over the parts and WALLA it cracked next to the seat section about 2 inches long and there is a 1/16th inch gap from it not being able to close up )

also there is no tabs in the back to mount the rear brake light .. and also there is no tabs at all......it is all plastic plugs that you have to try to stretch the plastic body work into place . then drill a hole in the plug and hope that you can get it all straight ...the headlight doesnt even fit all the way in takes like 3 ppl to hold and pull and drill and put the screws in

....anyways it was a learning experiance and i would rather buy a full fiberglass set next time instead of the way to small, brittle plastic.drippy paint full fairing set from ebay .. ugggg

maybe i got a bad set or something . but be warned ..it is a pain in the ass to get on with out cracking and hope your screws stay in after everything is put together.

i think when all is done ..it will be a cool looking bike about 10 feet away

ugh.. tonight we were trying to fit on the headlight upper fairing assembly. and you had to stretch the windscreen upper part over the mirror mounting,s . plus the 2 bolts that go through the upper windscreen/bodywork/ fairing stay dont even come close with lots of pulling and stuff. ( i even went so far as to buy a front upper stay and lower stay brand new- just to make sure mine wasnt bent ) Nope it is the fairing

and the 2 bolts that go into the upper fairing below or behind the cluster. those plugs dont even come close .....gah > only thing holding it on is the headlight tabs and the mirror mounts OYE

but it is on ...it doesnt look crooked haha so far..just lots of stuff doesnt quiet match up.

just be warned maybe i got a shitty set were the plastic shrunk up ALOT..

Hope this helps...I haven't seen one myself, this is a review from someone else who bought one. Thought it was useful to put in perspective.

Granted that the only details I found were from overseas sites, but through clever deduction I am pretty certain they would be the same:
    1) Not many companies offer ABS plastic replacement fairings...most are Fibreglass
    2) Not many companies overseas (particularly Europe or USA) offer fairings for small displacement bikes (i.e. MC22 etc)
    3) The parts are made in China (could be Hong Kong which is technically China now anyway) and exported to wherever.
    4) The photos on ebay (the review had a link) look almost exactly the same as the photos that were on TM - same replica kits available in the same models.

Don't get me wrong, they could be an awesome deal - but I think its always best to hear both sides of the story...I spent ages trying to find out more details because I was interested too. I like to do my research properly before entering these sort of deals.

By the sounds of things this guys has had tons of orders this month, so im sure if they are crap we will hear about it somehow.
I tryed ordering a set for my bike back around the 6th and he said the production factory had met the limit for the month and that i had to wait till 30th may to order mine.
