yep...makes sense...i did the proprtional thing as best i could so will probably take the rest with me if we get out on the weekend and add it as we go...

on a (possibly) happy note: my helmet left LA ta 3pm Sunday afternoon, arrived in NZ at 10:31am this morning (3 days to get here?!!?) and cleared customs at 2:37pm this afternoon, so HOPEFULLY it will get to me by friday! no sign of the wifes new one and hers left before mine as far as i can tell.....who knows...

I also now have mirrors on the viffer, they're decent units, solid and should be quite effective, but it's a bit questionable if they're actually factory units!! mounting isn't exactly what i'd call a "factory fit" !! ahwell, ya live and learn....

Yes, I hope the helmets arrive soon. It's frustrating having to wait for new things, especially when you know they're so close lol. But all the better when they arrive. And a long ride will wear it in nicely!

I may google these additives and see what they have to say. The label on mine says use every 5000 km or as required. May be interesting.

Good to hear the mirrors are on tho!

On a general note, my max range is about 200 km, and looking at some of those distances I may have to stop more often for fuel. The old girl/s were built for speed, not distance

the fuel stops are a guide. I wont hold you to them. Of course we will stop as the furl runs low or you could just push to next gas station.

No worries then, I thought I'd mention it. Better than pushing, towing, or pillioning too!

How the hell did my name get put down for the 900k naki tour?! If I put my name down I must of done it in my sleep...come to think of it stranger things have happened. Anyway, can't do that as much as it sounds like a blast it's to big of a day for me, about 600k is about my limit for one day. Next time you guys dream up a ride thats a little monumental i'll be in I reckon.

quite possibly....will probably take the bike for a spin after work to run in the fuel additive and i also wanna see what the helmet is like for noise etc but it does need to be worn in a bit before taking off on a farkin enormous ride

might even sleep in it too...err...watch out honey!!

Was seriously thinking about an N102 Nolan but when I close the face right down it came down to tight on my chin unfortuately. Would'nt mind trying one size larger thought coz I reckon the one I tryed was a smidge too small.
