    Wow .. just got off the phone from the guys who took our helmits and stuff and they live five minutes away .. so off there with a bottle of wine and heart of thanks tomorrow ... again thanks to the KBers who made this so very easy to deal with.

    I'm very sorry to hear this news - I hope you heal up fast and well.....

    Don't take this the wrong way OK BUT - Later - when everything is a bit less raw you might want to start a thread about accident scene management based on the actual event. I'd value your insight and I think it would be useful to others.

    I was not there - I know nothing other than whats been posted and so it is very easy to blah blah about it but I would be really interested in hearing your thoughts on how you felt and what you did and if you would (with the benifit of experience) do things the same way again.

    I've been on a few 1st aid courses and had to use that a few times in road accidents (reminds me - I'm very rusty - must do a course) and I found it interesting how i reacted differently every time. Only a couple of times have i done a reasonably good job - rest of the time the sudden 'being involved' slightly over came my good judgement.

    But thats for another day...
