Sorry we can't ride today - hXc has his selection process for AFS, interviews etc. Gotta be on hand to support our lad, he is not very well at the moment.

    1 long sleeve poly prop
    1 short sleeve poly prop
    I thermal back wrap
    1 brushed cotton shirt
    1 wool jersey
    1 thick wool shearing singlet
    1 back protector
    1 freshly waxed leather jacket
1 grade 3 blized waist coat.

    1 long poly on legs
    1 freshly waxed leather pants
    wool / thermal socks
    Freshly waxed road boots

    Silk balaclava
    Freshly waxed winter gloves.

Couldn't be cold if I tried. I have found the waist coat and shearing singlet give you bulk without hindering your arm movements.
Fresh bees wax seals the leather from rain and cold. With this sort of clothing mix I have ridden to Taupo in -6 degc.
    I love riding
I wear almost that much in summer!

    Was a great ride.

    I love the winter stuff.

    Only 5mm W ?

I did see snow up to the left of the road. I did see a bit of wet road along the way. I also saw plenty of diesel spots in the middle of the road. Pretty colours

Good ride today. Great chance to improve on those skills. Nice lunch, that certainly filled the belly.

Ummm on a serious note...........how practical would it be, for us to get our group together and donate blood as a group one avo?
Has anyone here had anything to do with blood donation or know anything about it?
If we could get enough people together we could do it one Saturday instead of a ride.
    Just an idea.

One of the girls I work with also works for blood donors, I will talk to her tomorrow and see what the story is. I have donated blood for years on a regular basis, it is quick, painless and you get a cuppa and a choccie bikkie afterwards....mmmm!
