Hehe no worries not alot anyone could do. I wasn't riding fast enough to get cold and order soup on the run.

Im going to pull it to pieces tomorrow to see how much damage is on the inside...ooer, me stripping a bike down this will be a learning curve.

No worries mate, from the pillion perspective I was impressed with the hard stop that Maha man executed, now perhaps he can be known for that as well as his hard cornering...LOL
Hey thanks for coming along today, it was good to see you, next time perhaps we can order up some warmth too

Um...er....I was going down the motorway minding my own business....then saw something flick out the corner of my left eye. Lost traction on the rear tyre, so I thought I must have snapped the chain.

The rear tyre starts to do its own thing, eeep! Came to an emergency stop and the bike spilled its guts everywhere, broken engine parts, and oil pissed out...

Came close to binning it, wont mention what speed I was doing when it happend but put it down to a little experience for controlling it. Was scary!

After making a couple of phone calls, and watching other bikers ride past (while I was wanting to just get on and ride not making a scene ) I moved the bike forwards and started it again.

Yup she fires, but no wait more oil comes gushing out the bottom.
Having seen that rear tyre, I'm wondering how the hell you kept it upright at all. Damn good job, girl. And good luck stripping it down - the damage looked ... erm ... serious.

It was one hell of a sight from behind!! just as well your were in the slow lane still you keep it upright and left the other 2 lanes free of oil for the rest of us

[QUOTE=MotoGirl;1099081]Here's the complete album of our photos from today. These are just the highlights.

Just goes to show Auckland parking habits must be hard to break - what the hell is this all about? Any closer and I'd be doubting whether their relationship is purely platonic

Yep, including 'disabled parking'......dissapointing to see that Aucklanders, and a KBer don't care

    Came home through the Hunuas.
Bit of a mistake ..... sunstrike + shady corners = no idea where the road is.
Rode accordingly, so no pucker points. It sorta kills the point of going that way though.
Entertaining day - good company - quickish trip home - all good.
    Ta maha and ma.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
