We are planning a trip to Taupo, (another early ride), and will ride around Lake Taupo. Did it about a month ago, and absolutely awesome roads, so wanna do it again, esp since some of the guys missed out then. But will be after the Cold Duck, and weather permitting that side of course!

A group of us from here did that ride late last year (some only managed to do half ... no names mentioned eh Dooly

)

Yes it is an awesome ride and would be very keen to do it again

Baaaa......raining and wet out here HW50 now. Been raining all night.
Looks like rain is heading towards the cities.
Cold as fuck too!
May be a day of chores and stuff, go feed some hay out etc, and a ride tommorrow for me.

But I am becoming very fond of the Porangahau rd too.

I'm still gonna get out there - may not do the Porongahau road

(due to how wet the road will be), but will find a pub some where in the middle of nowhere. And who cares if I get a bit of rain... motorcyclists aren't just sunny day riders - or are they???? Nah, not me.

It's drying up abit out there now.

Hmm The metservice weather forcast for Taupo is "Fine with south or southeast wind." But Napier's forcast is "Cloudy, few showers. Southerlies.".

So I imagine that things will fine up once we are on the way. I'm gonna show up anyway, and see if anyone else has the kahuna's to do so also. Yay !!! An other good ride coming up right about now.
