Crazy Steve..
The Person that tranfered a $500 holding deposit for this bike and said they will collect Tonight Thursday 07/05/2009 and pay the balance has now said they dont want it..
Do I give them the $500 back ? ?
Or do I give them $250 back ? ? $250 to me for them wasting my time..
Or do they get nothing back ? ?
This has happened to me before...And im a little unsure on the Rules or Laws..
Your info will be greatfully recieved..
Thanking you in advance Steve..
i 'spose its a bit like when u travel to taupo with someone.. teh driver pays all the petrol and the passenger rides for free.. a txt a day later says thanks ... i'll pay next time. ...!
Should the driver, who hasnt worked for over a year say..
1. oh.. ok

Keep it - it pisses me off, how do you know if someone after reading your add - then seeing your post that it had sold thought 'dam - missed out on that one', then promptly pressed the buy now button on a more expensive bike on trademe?
Now sitting here reading your post thinking evil thoughts
If they were going to change their minds - they shouldn't of given you a holding deposit
Your bike is cheap
Split the money with Boomer ya tight bastard
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
It all depends upon what was agreed. I suspect the deposit was so that the bike would not be sold elsewhere until the potential buyer had the chance to see it and make their mind up.
If someone gives you a "holding" deposit, that means "I AM GOING TO BUY THIS BIKE AND WILL PAY THE REMAINDER LATER". If they default, they lose the deposit. No question.
However, it's your deal, so your choice.
If you lied, that's a different story.
