Four of us left the Peg at 10 and picking up one more at Woodend. It was so warm and anybody would have thought it was summer again. As we headed north the old norwester started to kick in and thought it may start to get real gusty, but it wasn't too bad. Weaved our way through the traffic to Amberley where Emlyn and myself topped up our bikes to do the loop. Off again and a sweet run through to Dommett where we turned off and headed to Gore Bay. Once on the twisty bits there was some loose gravel in places but not too bad. Once we arrived in Gore Bay we stopped and let everyone regroup and have the usual chin-wag. Back on the bikes and off to Cheviot for a well deserved coffee and a feed for some.
Since it's such a great road we went back the same way and not long after going through Gore Bay Dangerous came through heading the other way, which he said he may do. He turned around at the Bay and caught back up with us all and we all headed for the Greta Valley pub for a chat and drink.
Back home via the Scargill Valley. What a great way to fill in a Saturday in

Sorry I turned off after the Greta.
I thought I better get home and do a few things before I do the Lewis tomorrow.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

yeah... left belfast 2hrs behind you guys at 12pm, 1pm I was at Dommet Gore bay turn off, "have I missed them maybe" ahh what the hell never done that road before so Ill head in all the same.

Hit the tight stuff dodged wild pine cones then the sphincter sucked the seat up as I drifted around a bend... yip seems what I thought was a shadow was grit so put the tractor into 1 wheel drive and plowed out the other side only to take a right hander with a x guzzi rider lineing it up towards me sweet that was LeMans (really dont suit a Trumpy chopper) passed the rest of the team and carried on to the Bay.

Quick U E and back I went, NOW dig this pulled up behind Emlyn she instently pulled over jumped off, through the gloves on the ground, wipped the lid off and woshed that nice blondish hair back over her sholder... WOOOOO HOOOOO...
In a moment of panic I stalled the bike thought Im in for it tryed restarting but flooded... then Em started yelling 'bloody bee' the wee sucker tore out of the helmet and made for the bush.. OH, I knew that
nuff a that and headed to Greta. one tosted sammy and coke later I headed to Scargill on one wheel with the crew in hot persuit... through the weka and home.
    cheers DD

Edit: Who do those other bikes belong to? (The Honda CB1300 and the Yamaha)

Rose if I had changed a drive belt before on a HD I would come around and help you change it.

Never mind when you do get it changed lets us know and we will go for a nice long ride to make up for the ones you have missed.

Better still, when you are getting it changed can I come to help and watch so I can learn how to?
