You have not observed the antics from mine when being started from cold ... Have to admit tho, she has great road manners. I still think I'm not doing something right with the cornering, it just seems too easy. Not exactly caining it mind you.

Must have been a couple of prangs then the one I saw there wasn't a car involved from the amount of bikes around and they were still tending to the rider who wasn't lying to far from his bike (reddish coloured V-twin of some description).

that blue zx6r almost had toms honda badge on the front of it....was that anyone here? please be more considerate when you carve up our group in future.

anyways, thanks to retro for the choice day for picking a ride, was a bit nippy on the way home.

only found 1 patch of gravel and 1 slippery piece of road.

for some reason im exhausted...must be the cold and the lack of rides recently....

It was the next valley over heading towards little river, roughly 12.30-45ish. Didn't stop as there were a heap of bikes parked up already (part of some group ride heading to Akers) and it was quite congested so there wasn't any need for any more rubber-neckers to be hanging around. The Little River fire brigade just took off to attend as we parked up at LR.

INTERESTING... cos I have heard of other complaints, the XJ passing a bike that was already passing a car, the GSXR cutting right hand corners more than 50% of the time (mate when landing a wheelie on the wrong side of the road dont continu for 500m's on that side move back to the left) BANDIT, going wide around lefties... learn to ride people.

Dave you sure it was a zxr?
    cheers DD

    Bright and sunny Monday Morning

at the keyboard at last after a fabulous day yesterday.
Group of about 11 of us left almost on time from the vets. First coffee was already under the belt as the wee cafe was open
Checked the phone to find trumpie was round the corner with a dead bike and as you already know she rode but not quite as far as the rest of us.
Took the old tai tapu road and made our way out to Little river.

Not too much traffic on the road so we picked a reasonable time of the day. Everybody pulled up for coffee at Little river and nice chatty time and watched a decent amount of other riders on the road swing by......
6 of us headed over the hill and I have to say it was surprisingly good with a few patches of grit but certainly not what we had been expecting at all.
Txt from Dangerous to make sure we were all okay and I do hope the rider who did leave the road is recovering alright.
Lunch at bully hayes and then rolled on back......
Longwheely and I took the road over Gebbies pass.
Apparently he was asleep within an hour of arriving home....... His first ride out since moving to the land of the long white cloud 2 months ago.
It will take some time to get bike fit and used to our roads but I think he and his lady have a good summer to look forward to.
All in all a great ride and thanks to everyone who came along. So sorry for Trumpess as she and I were both looking forward to a good run. She made it to my place later in the day after sorting the bike.....
Hope you enjoyed your day as much as I did.......
WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN I SHALL RIDE PURPLE................AGAIN

Glad to hear you guys had a good ride. Had hoped to join you but had to drop my daughter off a work. She will have her license in a couple of weeks so I should be a bit freer then.
