I have to have my daughter at Waikato Hospital for 7:30am

Nothing beats a 4am start on a cold winter morning, followed by a drive through pea soup frozen fog though

At least she is living back in the city now, not Cambridge.

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

Bleh, if I didn't ride my bike to work then I would have to take the train. On wet days I get to work dryer on the bike with all my gear on then walking 15 mins to the train in the wet without cover. There are many other reasons why I would rather brave the weather on my bike than take the train, like other people!

Oh yeah, riding to work is waaay cheaper than the train too!

Must agree.... I'm so over this winter. Its certainly been sucking most of the fun out of my daily commute.

You expect cold days but usually more warmer days than cold. This year that ratio has been reversed and we havn't even got to July and August yet!

Friggin' 'ell! I thought last week was manky - today makes me realise I was "somewhat deluded"...not only is it bloody cold it is pissy wet as well...my bike was looking balefully at me this morning when I went into the garage...I'm almost sure it muttered something about "fuckin' pussy arse scared to get wet might dissolve goddam pansy"
