Been up it once in a mail van towing the canoes out from river trip,thought at the time wish I had the XR200 for gravel etc.

Well went to wangas to support Kari, woke this morning & heard the rain thought ohh well its winter .. by 10 the rain was over & by the time I left around 11 the main roads were pretty dry

but she sure was

Called dogs before I left as thought I might be able to catch a coffee while there but awesome he decided to come too .. so quick flick to his place and swap bike for his car .. and off we went (after a quick hi to Mel as she was running back to work)

anyhow back to dogs & great coffee & home made biccy's before the ride home .. and yup still

but heated handgrips rock

And only one mr plod that some nice kind cager gave me good warning about

meanie and I got lead over it on the premise that it was a "tad" of gravel. He still had the meanie and I had the 600. Shocking road.!

Great views if you're not driving/riding,bloody steep cliff faces in places.

I need a weekend to get over my weekends lately

Off to Welly tomorrow, back late Saturday for a girls `bash` that night and then the Feilding riders `Goat track` ride on Sunday...can't take Monday off as next two papers start at Massey...phew

Lucky we don't have the kids back until Sunday night.....

It will be good to be back in the saddle tomorrow though-hope the weather plays ball....roll on Summer...I'm ready for some bike riding
