Well depends how competitive u want to be without having to work on it... a std fxr150 is fairly competitive if u got good tires on it.

Well, nothing is going to be competitive hauling my heavy arse around...

Anyway, the idea was to try it out and see if I actually enjoy being on the track in a race setting. If I don't - then there's no reason to pursue the matter further... If I do, then I'll see what I can get away with after I've run it past the aquisitions department

I was lucky I got mine for under $1000 delivered from Aucks to Wgtn and it was registered and warranted. As much as I would prefer a "bit more power" at times the lil green tractor is an awesome and incredibly cheap 'Commuting Bucket Racer'!
    Just a shame it's a diesel...

Good man Johnny has agreed to lend me his old bucket. I am now very much looking forward to sunday - let's hope the weather will be as nice as it is today

I'm sure you will be hooked. You don't need to be at pointy end of the pack to have fun. I've only done a couple of meets myself, but it's great fun mid field trying to catch the person in front or finding the limits of your tyres etc.

    Cheers
