If you successfully complete an approved course, the length of time you must hold your restricted licence for will be reduced to 12 months for those aged under 25 years, and three months for those 25 or older.
Have a chat with Passrite to do the 'Street Talk' course or the AA for a 'Defensive driving course'.

Sucks to be me, I'm 23, therefore an irresponsable retard who can't be trusted.Riders under 25 years of age
You must hold your restricted licence for a minimum period of 18 months before you can move to a full licence. This can be reduced to 12 months if you successfully complete an approved course teaching advanced riding skills (provided you do the course after you have held your restricted licence for at least six months).

No I can't it is all school kids stuff (bullshit). The course is very boring and a waist of time. the AA defensive driving course all about cars not bikes. If I had a choice I would not have done my defensive driving course, knowing what I know now. It was that bad! You have to do a gay as poster which is just fucken kids stuff, you have to provide your own car to do the practical and you get home work. Which you pay for. What a great deal.
good luck
AA and rider skills have defensive driving courses.
You cunts miss me yet?
I still haven't gone on a ride bigger than 50Km yet. Kinda depressing.

If you're happy on a 250, then I would I would just be patient, not waste your time and money.... However, on the flip side, if you're clambering to climb aboard a bigger bike, then consider it !
Edit....
I did the Riderskills course... which, well, other than the ocasional (and I mean occasional) change of the word car for bike.... was totally oriented at cars, and 16 year olds.
Having said this... The practical is done on a bike, which for me, made it more sensible... and the constructive advice I recieved was very helpful.
So what's up with that? You make a poster because that will help you to be a safer driver?
I am soooooo glad that I have a full license - I just wish I had the money to go out and buy whatever bike I wanted. But currently even my scooter requires a full license (or an exemption) to ride it legally.
