Tyre warmers???Hope youre not using them on a classic bike.Back in my day we didn't have tyre warmers, blah, blah. We were tough. We got one warm up lap and then took it easy for the first lap or 2, then go nuts. Or run em at low pressure for a 5 lap race and hope they heat up quick, as they slide after 8 or 10 laps. Have a good day racing.

This looks like a good thread. New to this site. Do you guys get out on many rides? What sort of age groups? I am in the I can remember one black and white tv channel, which was ok because all the riders wore black back then group.

Whooooo what a day, bleeding good ride down and just the same on the way back, got told off from Warick for riding with a dodgy back tire. It was good when I left and a bit worn when we got down to Manfeild, must be a faulty tire it's only done 3500 K's Pilot Sport last one lasted about 7 and a Half thou

Welcome. There is usually at least one ride a weekend. Saturdays leaving Mobil Tadarale Road usually at 1.30pm unless something special organised. Then there is the Classic Club Ride (all welcome) and then the Burger Fuel Ride last Sunday of the month leaving BF napier at 11am (from memory). Age group? Mostly mature riders Just keep an eye on the posts in this thread to find when and where.

Spend the extra and get a Pilot Road 2 next time Big G, worth every cent and in the end very good value for money.

What an awesome ride today Ashurst/Pahiatua/Mangatainoka/Pongaroa.
Left at 11, home at 5.45, good day.
Hope the team that stay at Pourere have a good night and us 3 who came home had a good ride back via HW50
I think it was barely 30 mins from Dannevirke to my house.
    And all without exceeding 100.
    Bloody Yanis leading us astray!!!!

Yo BigG, when I got back, my tire looked worse than yours! Don't understand it, must have been a crook tire, was pilot power, so not the same, I no understand! Good ride there alright and a good one back if a little lonely, you guys did a good job of pig sweeping for me thank you! Robert swapped both the front springs for lighter ones and re-did the preload and rebound for the front and adjusted the preload and stuff for the rear, said he will put a lighter spring in the rear shock, f.o.c. if I send it up to him, but was lots better on the way back, so all good! Thanks to Stewarts Electrical for the hospitality suite. So all in all a goodun!

Yep what he said. What a great ride down. Followed by a good days racing. However a few bikes got dropped. Gary had a first place qualifier. Well done that man. Followed by a lowside drop in the first race that ended with a third. Again a good result considering things. Then a win to end the day. Just great. He still leads the street stock class. Bring on the two daya on da 26th September.

Now back to da ride home. It was a cracker. Nice to have someone else take the lead on 50. Good pace Mr W. Was the first run for the SV that challenged it. Seems to like it but the suspension is crap and makes for a wild ride down hill in the lumpy bits at speed. I do miss the Gixxer for that riding.

Aye G You are a very lucky man to have got that tyre home mate. It was a good thing we set a moderate pace and prevented you from doing any harm to yourself. You need to thank Mr W for looking after your Yamahahaha bits and not just blasting away in to the distance. Send the tyre back and see if you can get a discount or replacement on it. The wear is not even for one. One side looks well worn but not down to the canvas and the other is shagged. You do not ride “Soft” by any means mate.

Thanks for a great day everyone. Cheers

Looks like you all had a good day Dale. Nice to catch up this morning. Even though your one is better quality I feel happy having my own back. Don't have to worry about damaging it. Sorry about the dirt on yours. The sheep go in the garden this morning and knocked all the Mooos pots over so I have to hide the damage as I left the house and I was in my riding gear. Think I have got away with it Cheers mate

Cheers for the company today guys. Excellent ride. That trip home was a ripper though there seemed to be a bit of a head wind for some reason. With no fairing I was having to hang on to them there bars. Managed to pry my hands off the grips when I got home but still having trouble wiping the grin off.

Bike seemed to be running a bit rich on the way back. I needed to duck into Hastings to fill up to get me home. Strange that .....
