i am glad i wasnt the only one who didnt get the clue...shop sign gives no clue either.

Trying to work the clue backwards I wonder if it could have just as easily been written 15/3 ??

Ha, that's what I thought but he's right 16/3 is best.
Start with one finger pointing at 1 and another at 31 and move them equally together and both fingers land on 16 at the same time.
