We are at home. I can live with this sort of thing as we have experienced it before. As you might know but I take exception to this moronic comment about the Police who put their lives on the line for us.

    Cheers Dave.

Classic case of typing with brain disengaged I suspect. I have mates on the Force , always a worry when there is stuff like this going on.

I too have lost a good friend whilst doing his job (and another one was shot a couple of years ago too). We don't need to risk lives in this senseless manner. Maybe this gunman will turn on himself like Jan Molenaar did in the end.

    Stay safe guys

We have experienced this sort of thing first hand and we live in the closed road area. Hope it doesn’t happen again or to one of the police on duty. Give these police some respect for they are putting their lives on the line for the rest of us……………. Yes I am angry that you have the nerve to post like this……………… up yours……….

If you had second thoughts about your posting you should have removed it.

EDIT I feel a lot angrier than I can put on here about this posting……………..
Seeing that I don’t actually know you, I can’t see why it would be your intention to take my post out of context. As you should have noticed, I was referring to us as a group of riders being lucky not to have bumped into a fleet of cops - most likely full of adrenalin and packing heat - coming the other way whilst we were all enjoying our usual '101km/h riding' on our way back from Wairoa And lucky not to have been stuck inside the cordens 'on our bikes' of all things.

The tosser emoticon is a direct dig at traffic enforcement, and not some needle poking far king voodoo wish !!! I have seen loads of derogatory references to Police traffic enforcement in this thread and throughout Kiwi biker, so why the sudden ‘growling’ for me I don’t know! I’m sorry that you took offense to what I posted, but not sorry that I posted what I did. This is a matter of error in contextual judgement on your part. I did nothing wrong !!!

Do I hope that the police catch the murderous, child shooting, car jacking terrorist? Absolutely and without question.

Thanks for the reply. As GMcC said, A time and place. I guess we will never understand each other. Highlighted by the fact that you don’t understand why I was upset and I don’t understand how you could have posted that comment when people are dead.

There is a difference between traffic cops sitting in bushes to catch you at 101kmh and Police risking their lives to save others with guns etc involved. I guess we will just agree to disagree.

Maybe I have to look at the way I speak of Traffic cops. After all, without them, we could not ride for fear of being run over.

    Have a great day everyone.

I turned my scanner on for the first time in 2 weeks yesterday, and caught it all on the airwaves.
It was very interesting to listen to the operation being run and what was going down.

The bloke shot took 4 .223 bullets to the chest, he was always a goner, the kid a flesh wound.

They said the offender's rap sheet to all the Police on board.
History of family violence, arson, assaults, armed offences, and a REVOKED firearms licence.

    Glad they got the maggot.

I for one am glad the situation has been resolved, so people can continue on their daily routine. We came accross a bus driver yesterday who couldn't collect the workers at the mill, nor drop off the next shift.

Shame it occurred in the first place. What is happening to our little Hawkes Bay

Getting on to good things an astonishing Moto GP this morning I think it pays to stay on line. Another good thing got me tyre scrubbed in all I have to do now is replace all my brake pads, chain sprockets, oil and filter.
