I have a group of mates - 8 of them, coming down from parts north who will be there on Friday night. Norm, Jeff, and Dave who were with me at the last PPR. I'm planning on leaving Invercargill Saturday 10 - 10:30 am with McJim, Cosmo and anyone else who turns up.

Whats the story with the road dedication event? What time etc? And which end?

Road opening scheduled for 1 pm - road will be closed for a short time leading up to that and during the very brief ceremony. It will be at the end nearest the rally site.
Shrek and some Canterbury rabble types are heading down to Bluff on Sat am and then back up through the Catlins so you might link up with them. We're planning on meeting them at the Whistling frog around 2 ish

Yes and naturally I'm trying to avoid such low-class types which is why I've carefully timed an earlier departure.

You make a good suggestion but I feel obligated to get to the site cos some of the guys have come from the North Island. And I'll get a better tent site.
