I like this plan as I am now missing a tooth I need single malt scotch to heal the wound....in copious amounts

Absinthe is only nice when you drink gold label (thats 89% for all you lay peeps)..none of this pansy green or red label crap.

Oh and dont drink it straight mix it nicely and bask in the aniseed flavoured goodness.

wtf why would you buy the 89.99% stuff and then not shot it straight?

i don't even like aniseed, but the 89.9% just tastes like burning so it's ok

never bought anything weaker - can't find where to get the 92% stuff a mate had "acquired" and have tried the 60% stuff with extra wormwood and wasn't that impressed.... all the yuk without any the payoff though it did mix well with sprite....

and before you non-students go raving on about how we can't be so poor if we're paying $60 for what amounts to about 500ml of booze, bear in mind it's cheaper than beer, per unit alcohol, and about 100 times as fast - 3 shots from sober (no more without medical staff on hand, this is probably borderline as it is) and you can feel yourself getting drunk. 5 minutes later you're completely off your face. non-alcoholic fluids are recommended at this point.

you see, some of us students don't even have time to get drunk, let alone stand around drinking several litres of beer

this is why henderson is much more awesome than remuera - infact there's probably a lot that is explained by this....

Maybe becuase you are still a young'un who drinks merely to get kicks and get shitfaced, whilst I drink less regularly and more for the joy of having a drink.

You would struggle to sit on a deck watching thw sunset with a glass of chambdon without trying to play scrumpy hands.

Actually..age doesnt play into it as gareth drinks like a 15year old on P.

No it isn't... $60 for 500ml of 90% = $0.13/ml of ethanol, $22 for a dozen steinlager pure at 5% = $0.11/ml... There are many better value beers than steinlager pure and still the option of scrumpies/cask wine.

    3 shots at 90% = 81ml of ethanol, 7 shots of 40% = 84ml of ethanol.
According to the Widmark Equations, this will leave an 80kg male with a BAC of 12mg/ml. The legal driving limit is 8mg/ml... So if you shot 3 shots of absinthe and then wait 15 mins, you'll be at 1.5x the legal limit... For a regular drinker that's hardly shitfaced. For an alcoholic that's barely noticable.
