Tyre technology moves fast Shirley, They(stada's) are available in a really good range of sizes too, more so than the rest of the Diablo range. Still deciding what to do with tyres , and if I keep the Duke. A cheaper road bike and another race bike sounds more fun

Well, they are still my fav tyre and have great stickability. It is obvious that technology changes, that is why there are so many more options out there. But at the time, Strada's were what Pirrelli were promoting as race tyres. But Jason, it doesn't really matter.... that is my opinion, and yes, they have to produce in different sizes, as bikes have different size wheels. I understand that too.

stickability , I like that word lol. 180 and 190 are easy to get ,170 is a inbetween size, thats were the sportyer tyre ranges stop and start again at 160(if your lucky)

I was using 180's on my SV - abit on the big side, but still fitted ok. Never had problems with it

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Might not make the ride this arvo Steve, I have the carb in bits off the TY, odd ball(original) T K type? looks like a round slide mikuni bit isnt, Has a main jet that screws into the bowl and a o'ring (now split) that seals it to the emulsion tube. Swaping the DT carb(if it fits) onto it now and see what it runs like. My boy is hanging out for a ride, may just take him to the river instead.
Maybe i will get a late model bike instead , maybe even as late as a 80s dirt bike

    Nana/s allowed out...

We had the pleasure of meeting Tony W, XR Johnny and DR Girl yesterday and ended up riding with them today..well not DR Girl, as she had to stay home and dream up names to drop into the conversation...(She said she was looking after the kids but...)
I pillioned with Tony (as Ruby has no rego) on his BMW (henceforth known as "The Whale")...very comfy armchair ride, I must say and we headed off into the hills with Mstrs leading.
Xr Johnny showed off a stunning bright red lady's bike...(I know, cos I sat on it and its tiny!). Are you sure that it really is a 1200?
Now, this was a nana's ride but we struggled to keep Wickle in sight at times. But thanks to the stop at turn offs guidelines, nobody got lost.
We somehow found our way to DR Girls for coffee and conversation. She knows many important people, and the conversation was a hoot!!
The whale rider led for the next part of the journey...gracefully sliding his leather armchair round corners motard style! I thought he said he was a nana...
Ended up at Milk and Honey for more bevvies and general shit slinging. A certain R1 rider must have been on a promise or something...because he avoided stopping to chat Thanks for the wave, dude!

An interesting day, guys, thanks heaps
