    Great night.
Thanks to Monamie and 86 for putting on a superb night and for the bed to dos down in.
Been said more than once but i'll say it again, great food and great company, really impressed to see people come from far and wide to go to the party, top effort and great to see all the usual suspects turn up too and for those who could'nt be there for one reason or another hope fully next time.

Very very cool night indeed. I am feeling shagged to be honest, big day Friday with a 1.30am finish and a 2am finish Saturday night and a big day today, just got through the Desert Rd as they were closing the gates, first time driving while its snowing, 40-50 kph through the desert rd makes for an even longer trip home, but pretty awesome.

Big thanks to Meanie and Monie for the lodgings, even the cat left a small pressie on the window ledge this morning

To everyone at the party last night, fantastic to meet ya's and to those that we already knew, well, yeah nuff said...

86 and monamie, massive party guys, really really enjoyed the venue

coffejunkie! you are a live wire and ya coffee making skills are primo, what a mix.

Who was I playing bum scrum with??....was it the same that pinned me between her legs and farted??

I will post more, but my brain needs feeding now....

Brrrrrrrr We stopped in Taihape for something to eat, and a durrie. Standing there it was bitterly cold. Cold enough to snow apparently I will post some pics if I can get them off my phone. It snowed from just north of Taihape to the end of the Desert Road. Up on the plateau it was ummmmmmm, very white and very quiet, with not much visibility. I have never experienced snow like that, funny to watch it build up on the windscreen and then fly off

Well now, I see a few have been posted, but I know there are many more. I took heaps, but sadly our camera seems to have vanished. Can you guys all have a Mommy look for it please. Last seen just after the end of the boxing, I took ringside pics of that on the breakfast bar in the kitchen, though it is possible I put it down somewhere else and dreamed I put it on the beanch

Think the camera is on the top of shelf in kitchen, was it in a blue/black case.
Not sure if it's alsheimers or oldtimers you have.
Thought of youse fellas when teletext said many roads closed in central north island, two things struck me,1)snow equals cold, and 2)teletext was almost instantly accurate.Could just see you turned back at Waiouru and having to head around SH3 home.

We got through in time...but those that had made it to Waiouru and found the road closed, they would have had to go back to Bulls??

    Well what can I say....

Life is definitely what you make it.......it's a long road we travel and for me the journey is so much sweeter having my special man by my sideand you guys for company on the journey

Great to put to faces to names...(Mom your arse is bloody nice too), and to catch up with the regulars. Pleased everyone has made it home safely (and not a `whisker` made it to the BBQ!!)

Thanks for all the mountains of sustainance you bought and also to those who gave a hand in the restoration of the ranch (and the resident chef who fed the workers)

Lesson for the night:........ if the driveway lawn is not mown.......it's because the lawnmower will get stuck.......

Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.

Honestly I asked Maha how bad it had to be before they closed the road as he was driving along, then we get down off the plateau and see them with the south bound lane closed and about to close the north bound one

Bloody beautiful stuff snow. So, so, so happy we did not get turned around, we probably would still be driving Was lovely to meet you last night.

Fanks lovely! Thank you for your hospitality last night, I really enjoyed myself You have a nice ranchlette there

Stop talking sense, if the grass is not cut it must be because the mower has broken down

    The trip home

The first pic is the hills just north of Taihape

The next 2 are self explanatory - this was maybe 12:30pm today.
