When I did the Yamaha 350 YPVS 2-stroke proddy racing, years ago, I often used to ride to Brands Hatch, take off the license plates, put on the numbers and race! Saved renting a van. I did crash one of those times but was still able to ride the bike home. Hey, I'm an optimist!

Thanks Max. Where can you buy the nylon? I will want some in any case. How is the Honda 125 shaping up?

If any one needs somewhere to stay the night or access to a workshop for the Roys Hill meeting just give me a shout.
I usually have spare nylon for bikes. I am "the Nylon Nazi" that checks every ones nylon before they can race

I have spare room in Napier for accommodation and a secure place to lock up the bikes.
Delorto is already booked in, does anyone else need to somewhere to stay?

Hi nigela, I've been away since last Wednesday (Rotorua, then Christchurch and ride back on new FXR150) so unfortunately did not read your excellent offer before leaving . I would definitely have stopped over . I stayed in a motel in Hastings. As I stopped at the BP in Hastings for breakfast this morning I met a couple who were returning from Roy's Hill and told me it was cancelled . I went along anyway and it was all locked up (hoped for a ride around the track in the rain or even to have a close look at the track). Another guy from Auckland with his son just arrived while I was there and he was also disappointed to have to turn around and go back to Auckland. I was riding through heavy sleet between Napier and Taupo. Bloody cold! I could feel the warm air hit me as I approached Matamata - was a relief. The FXR looks like new and goes really well. Anyway, that all gives me time to get the bike ready for the next Mt Wellington session. I might need some advice about fitting the plastics. Sounds like you are "da man" when it comes to these matters.

The track isnt worth riding on in that sort of weather, if you were to of gone out on the track today you wouldnt of been riding home

I hope december at royshill is good weather, it should be a big meeting in december.

Good luck setting up the fxr damien, if you want some cheap tires get hold of the moto acadamy, dont muck around with bt39's

He said he rides no.6 (he didn't have bikes with him). I don't mind riding in the wet - even like it (I crashed in the wet at Mt Wellington last time -enjoying it a little too much maybe!). Moto Academy sounds great - just had a look at the web site. Need good tyres to corner like this:

    Tim, on the limit. Damien.

More bikes on track can only be a good thing, but I am going to miss your photos.

Thanks for appreciation Henk. I can take photos when I'm not riding. Here is no. 6 who also had to turn around and go back to Auckland when Roy's Hill was closed today:

#6 masquerades as Speedpro on here.
I must admit I'm a little jealous of your ew toy. Planning on going the FXR route myself when I can find one at the right price.
