Its funny, sitting here thinking about who might be punished with any laws that may come into effect as a result of the new legislation.

Nearly all the times I've been pulled up I've been doing something wrong and mostly been ticketed because of it. Have been pulled up a few times randomly or for a mis-understanding and been let go with no further action. It just seems that MOST OF THE TIME the pol have it right when they take action against people.

Unless you are very unlucky its the same old thng aye, if you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about aye.

NOW, whos got a barrel of diesel ?

It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

BTW: Love the RX8 bodystyle, it's one of the few modern cars that appeal - mechanicals (engine) not as cool.

(I bet a '56 Cusso 272 V8 would fit in there and fix the problem! hehehe!)
Too much iron in the front will upset the balance

I'm not a hater, there are plenty of classics out there that I'd love to have in my garage (Phase III Falcon GT FTW!) - but that's more about timeless style these days, not performance.

Back in the old days the young ones would stand erect, beat their chests with their new found strength, perform loud acrobatics and do tricks to draw attention of a prospective mate.

If they got too rowdy the Silverbacks would just drive them off or pummel them.

Give or take a few mill. :-)

Why are you moaning about it??

If you break the law - you get punished. Simple.

If you dont want to get your car/bike crushed or even get a single ticket - just don't break the law...

Pretty simple concept but too many people think they are 'above' and/or 'better' than the laws.

its more the capacity for the law to be mis used and also you may not comprehend that some people are different to yourself and are more driven to push the limits

Ah, 'some people' - prepare to meet 'the law'.

You may win some, you may lose some but rest assured that you, the 'some people' willl in all probability have more meetings with the law than the average punter..

It's one of the perks of being 'some people'.

There is a lesson in there.

So fucking what? It's a kids beach hangout - what do you expect - everyone to do only what suits you? Are you sure you wouldn't you be happier playing lawn bowls?

This has been answered earlier, but - who wants to go to the beach? HEAPS - mum, dad and the kids, young and old folk. Last thing they want to hear is the "dooooff doooofff" boom boxes, the "wank wank" rotaries and the pissssssshht fart valves (oops.. blow off valves...), again and again and again..........

The same goes for the main city streets, when you're out having a dinner with friends.... same shit.

Dunno about crushing.... quite like the call about shipping them off to Tonga/Samoa, where ever.... Doesn't matter where. Anywhere but in NZ.....

There are already laws covering loud exhausts and wastegates venting to atmosphere - what's wrong with the Police actually policing them?
We do. Give out tickets. Back next night/weekend... same old, same old. Crushing makes it go away. Sorted.

I hear the "some people" are quite acquainted with the NZ constabulary

That line of reasoning is like going to a nightclub then complaining about the type of music. One beach, a popular hangout for kids. There are plenty of quieter beaches to go to if that's your thing. I know it's mine so I wouldn't even contemplate going to Whangamata or Mt Maunganui, particularly at New Years.

What complete crap. It's not going to make anything go away. What it will do is give a greater incentive to do runners. There are plenty of powers the Police already have to deal with recidivist boi wankers - they just want more bullying power for all citizens.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.

FFS how bloody hard would it be for the council to demolish and eyesore factory and give these kids a patch of concrete to burn up? or a big patch of grass to cut up?
I'm too old to fall into the boy racer catagory, and throwing beer bottles and being a cock was never my buzz, but I still drop the odd bit of rubber on the road, and grassing is soooo much fun!!

So my question then, is this. Why should the good folk have to put up with shit or go somewhere else?

Nothing like a nightclub. You pay to get in, so you have a right to moan about the music, no?

The beginning part, yeah, you might be right. It happens already, so runners are more likely.

As for the ending.... Now who is talking complete crap?

You make it sound like the Police came up with the laws.

They have done exactly that here. Council and Police got together with the boy racers and Ferndene track have offered their place for a small charge. Burnout pad in the middle. Well patronised too.

But the problem exists... still.... out on the streets......
