Other than that was a good ride. Thanks heaps for waiting too Doug

I managed to get away from work a bit earlier last night than I had wished but still too late to catch up with you guys!! So, I took a punt on which way you would head - - and you didnt head over the hill to Gordie's. Brilliant view from the top of the Paekak Hill - and another few km's under my belt on the new bike. How many went over the other hill last night? DJ

I guess about 30 odd bikes.
One thing which stood out for me last night is how well behaved everyone seemed to be, myself included. There didn't seem to be any "racing" over the hill (well not in the bunch I could see in front or behind), just a bunch of bikers quite happy to follow each other in a courteous well behaved manner.

He indicated left and pulled over as I pulled up behind, very well behaved. If it'd been his old man I'd have thought he was takin' the piss.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

Very cool and courteous ride last night. Except for the wind gusts; got hit by one on the way back that took me all the way to the op white line.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

Guess that wind made everyone adjust their pace accordingly. Clearly very dangerous behaviour, better slap another ACC levy on us

Good ride. Thought I was back in Europe when I left the Tin Hut and rode on the right side of the road!

    Almost became a statistic...

Some car went much faster than me up the hill. I must be getting old...
    Ride fast or be last.

This ride is fine for a newbie on a ZZR250, right? What time are people usually back in the hutt?

nice choice of bike the ride out is a group thig, the ride back is more casual, people trickle of at their own pace, went on my 1st wncr a week after getting my learners, it's up to you how confident you feel, but not a fast pace, make yourself known and no doubt someone will ride with you if you want

+1, looking forward to it if it says this way. And while yes I do love my bike I doubt it's as purrdy as yours, been dropped once (the shipping guys, not me!) and needs new plastics.
