I use to be totally against Halloween, I saw it as a unnecessarily waste of time and just another excuse to have to spend my money on costumes and lollies.

    But

Since then I have become a little less PC and a little less anal retentive as some people seem to be now a days, people who just like to moan for the sake of it, but dont pick the more important things to get their knickers in a twist about.

No my children will not be going to other peoples houses, but yes they will be dressing up and they will have fun scaring their nana and pop. Anyway I think that Halloween may not be OUR holiday but neither is Guy Fawkes.

Halloween means whatever you want it to mean so who cares. Christmas means famiily time to me, but to someone religious it would mean something totally different.

Being an old man who lives alone with just a cat for company - and one who rides a motorbike to boot - all the local neighbourhood kids have been warned to steer well clear of that loony at No. 8.

    So no problems for me....

If we had any brains we'd celebrate it on 30 April. But we're programmed too well as obedient little consumers to think about things like that.

I hate the faux Halloween as it's a reminder that we have long forgotten the role of seasons in our daily lives, and traded a richer life for a handful of bling. Beads and blankets.

Heres me about 11-12 years ago on Halloween night, we were off to a party and I recall a couple of little darlings coming to the house, saw me a ran screaming to thier mum who was waiting at the gate..
And I hadn't even got dressed up at that stage....

Pic 2...A few years earlier the head wound was more realistic.

Heres the answer, answer the door naked. Do that a few times and poof no trick or treaters. Worked fabulous with the mormons.

Yikes Maha, did you lose a marital mate?
