1979 - music was really going downhill.I've been searching YouTube and can find nothing worthy.Alice Cooper was in rehab and didn't release an album that year - so we were left with fucking disco and drips singing sweet songs about love...fuck that!

But hey, look what I found - it was Nambasa that year....Hippies were still alive and kicking.

We went down on our bikes - I was on my 1954 BSA,powered by a 1948 M20 sidevalve motor,my wife (girlfriend then) was on her 1951 T100 hybrid.Things were getting out of control when we got to Waihi, there were too many people turning up and they were fearing another Woodstock...so the gate was shut.Big arguments at the gate, but no one was allowed in - so we spent the night camped on the side of the road.Next morning they let the bikes through, and a bit later they opened up to cars.

Sunburn, used someones homemade vinegar and olive oil lotion....we stunk and were covered in dirt.Sit on a long board for a crap with someone next to you with a sack curtain.Naked bodies, naked bodies, naked bodies....so many it was normal.Sam Hunt - what a fucking tosser.Nambasa - been there, done that.

Thanks for the positive ups, good to know I'm not the only Zep freak on the planet. Gotta say; Kashmir was one of their finest moments and fuck the joint, gob an E.

Funny they opened for Rod, shoulda been the other way round. Rod's a soft-cock crooner with bad taste in pretty much everything, Cold Chisel rocked. What more can I say?

Was a bit like Duran Duran opening for Robbie Williams, by far the better act

I'm trying to find some good Iggy Pop - but it seems '77 was his halcyon year.
