I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Gore recommends applying a topical water repellency restorative (DWR treatment) for outdoor fabrics, available at your local outdoor retailer. We do not recommend wash-in treatments as they can affect the garment's breathability.
    sounds complicated and expensive

Just had a look at the label on mine. It says "hand wash in cold water, DO NOT USE SOAP, DO NOT USE SOLVENT, DO NOT TUMBLE DRY".

I would give it a wipe, spray some fabreze on it, and hang it somewhere to air out for a while.
Now I really am a Bonnie girl

Someone recommend Lux flakes and the washing machine to me...

I've got the flakes but hard to wash the gear when I'm in it all the time.

Should have rubbed them into the gear on the GC and let the weather do the rest...

You can wash your textile jacket with a special low suds detergent that you can purchase from the bike shops. You are supposed to hand wash them but i dropped mine in the machine on gentle wash and slow spin. Worked fine
    Hope that helps
